So here it is, my first little movie. The animation is pretty dodgy but hey, it's my first go.
If you think it relates to a personal story of some kind, like maybe, I dunno, my ex... you could be on to something! I certainly feel better for making it though I haven't shown it to her. I don't like making girls cry.
Thanks Evil Wombat Queen for the embedding tip, it doesn't display correctly for some reason and crops some content off the right of the frame. So if you like you can view it on my website in it's full, uncropped glory.
...to Jen Funlap. Wicked drawings made by taking out the inside of textas (or markers to you non Aussies), soaking them in water and applying them directly to paper. Sounds like so much messy fun!

A new study has shown that suicide rates among the population are higher when a conservative government is in power. No wonder I have been under the weather for the past 11 years.
I kinda jumped into this blog thing without thinking about it too much. The thing is, I'm really doing this for myself (as I assume most bloggers are really) but even so, I think a bit of guidance wouldn't go astray.
Check out 20 Usability Tips for your Blog. I'm well off on quite a few of them but then I'm happy to mooch along inside this shiny, aesthetically pleasing shell that vox has created for me and not think about it all too much. Hell, I'm lucky if I post regularly.

p.s. USYD, The Flying Bats are gonna kick your arse on Sunday! Maybe that's just my wishful thinking?!
Evil Wombat Queens *bear heart* is so beautifully sad. I am working on something similar as it happens - this is my squirrel - she's still rough but she'll soon be a flash movie. Another assignment not finished on time...
Must make her some arms!
Action Poetry - Some poems by Billy Collins set to some pretty nifty animation. My favourite: Forgetfulness.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge celebrated it's 75th Birthday a couple of weeks ago on 18 March. As my Grandfather was one of those that walked across the bridge when it was officially opened 75 years ago, I couldn't not go along. I trudged along to collect my fetching fleuro orange hat and walked across the bridge at dusk. There was Aboriginal Smoke Ceremony taking pace at the time I crossed, the smoke, lights, music and wind chimes combining to create a fabulous eerie effect; one I couldn't replicate with my camera and without a tripod:
I did take a video and was going to add some sound... kinda why it's taken me so long to post this... haven't got around to it so instead, you can listen to the cheesy presentation of Bridge history that's running in the background. Lucky you.
