Colour me excited! I've registered for JWT Womb, a competition to win an internship at JWT in Sydney. I'll be attending a workshop next week and speaking at the event will be Amy Smith (who I've mentioned before), CEO of JWT Australasia.
The brief for the comp is to sell the range of Ford small cars to under 30s and I must really be getting a grip on this advertising malarkey if, as a uber greenie who cycles everywhere, I can do this without even blinking.

I spied this advertising campaign for Taboo vodka from Portugal - I love the illustration and the simplicity of the work. The down side of the whole series though is it obviously caters to the male gaze and the male point of view.
I love my little coloured flags in outlook - they let me organise and prioritise things so I can get back to them later. Problem is, I never do. My green flag is for 'blog this!' and here's a list of the funky shit I've found over the last month or so:

However, the agency that made the ads (Saatchi & Saatchi) was sacked over the campaign for not obtaining permission to use the images. Tut tut. Still, I agree with the agency that the ads are 'edgy' rather than 'offensive'. And why doesn't Sid have on cherry docs?!

I've been loving the Northern Territory advertising campaign for ages now and wondering who did it. I love the wit and simplicity of it... thought it's often not easy to come up with stuff that seems simple!
Here's an example of stills from an animated gif though I do prefer the print adds, especially the black and white ones in the newspapers. I'll try and find some.
So I emailed the Tourism NT to find out who did it: Frost Design. I really admire Vince Frost's work and should have guessed...
