Dear Users of the English Language in Published Form,
When you are going to appropriate the often colourful and admittedly downright
confusing to outsiders Aussie lingo, please do your research. I'm talking
to you Peter F. Hamilton.

Cranky does not mean crazy, which is what I assume you mean and "walking dunny"?! WTF?
Janet Winterson, you should also consider this. I must find your quote too as it's much much worse considering it's a here and now work not a Sci Fi novel like Peter's, which I can almost excuse, but then he didn't manage to butcher any other culture's (yes, I use the word loosley) language.
And both of you - stop calling people Digger!
I expect this of Americans but you bloody Poms aught to know better.
